THE ASPEN

Ellisdale Construction collaborated with Paramount Development and BKV Architects to design and construct the tallest, first-of-its-kind, light gauge bearing metal building in Washington D.C. The 110 foot, 11 story project, built on a small footprint in the downtown D.C. development district, yielded the most competitive high rise cost per unit the market had seen since 2011.

Ellisdale deployed the light gauge construction approach as well as strong cost-saving techniques to deliver a high-end, sophisticated, leading-edge building in the most cost-effective manner possible. The success of The Aspen project has made Ellisdale the leading general contractor of light gauge metal bearing buildings in the Washington D.C. region. The developer eventually sold the project to institutional buyer Gray Star, achieving the same outsale pricing as conventional cast-in-place apartment complexes in the surrounding area.
